The Marais

Last week I went to the Marais to go shopping, well I also went again yesterday but that’s a story for another time. Last week’s shopping trip was my first time at this well known area of Paris, and I loved every minute of it. Right over the Seine on the Left Bank lays one of the most picturesque parts of the city. You’ll find hundreds of cute cafés and bistros with the Parisian outdoor seating where people sit for hours sipping coffee and eating pastries and small little streets lined with cobble stones that house some of the most bobo shops Paris has to offer. Actually you’ll find multiple Zadig and Voltaire, Sandro, Maje, Comptoir des Cotonniers, The Kooples, Ba&sh and American Retro boutiques in this area. It’s quiet convenient. If they don’t have your size in one store just walk down the block and find it in the other. And unlike the rest of Paris, the shops in the Marais are open on Sunday! And if you somehow get buyers fatigue make sure to head to the Place de Vosges and sit in the park or cool off with a drink in one of the bistros.
